Only a small fraction of local governments (borough, town, city, county) throughout the United States have web sites where agendas and minutes of public meetings are posted. However, following tax dollars and local legislation is probably the most important information a community could have to grow and prosper. Many states have “Sunshine Laws” which ensure access to public records, and many states are currently updating laws to reduce barriers to this information (see attached “Right To Know” doc). Such interest in the freedom of government information provides a unique opportunity to deliver a tool that will serve their needs to improve access.

Vagyis a projekt célja egy olyan szoftver létrehozása, ami egy honlapra összegyűjti a különböző (helyi) szintű honlapokról a közérdekű információkat. Így ezeket a tisztelt választópolgár bármikor megtekintheti és megvitathatja.

Ha hozzám hasonlóan te is hasznosnak találod ezt a projektet, akkor szavazz rájuk. Ez nekünk nagyjából semmibe sem kerül, a fejlesztők azonban nyerhetnek potom félmillió dollárt, amit remélhetőleg hasznosan költenek majd el.
